In League News by TLGHA

We are proud to announce Kim McCullough has been appointed Head of Hockey Operations for the Toronto Leaside Girls Hockey Association.

Kim emerged from a field of ten candidates that included a number of Olympians, gold medalists, Clarkson Cup winners, and coaches with National Team and varsity experience. Kim brings 15+ years of player, team & coach development experience to this position.

Kim grew up playing for the Wildcats, became an NCAA D1 captain at an Ivy League university and played professionally for 6 years. Kim has been a head coach at Leaside since 2008 and was named the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Coach of the Year in 2015. Kim has coached at the university, provincial and national team level and was inducted into the Leaside Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.

This is a significant investment by the association in our aim to support the growth of female hockey in our community. The hockey operations program is designed around our players and providing them the best experience possible. The objective of the program is to improve the experience that our girls have in Wildcat hockey through consistent, quality coaching. Kim will work with all of our coaches, from competitive to house league, in creating development programs for teams and provide them the tools and support in reaching individual and team goals.

Kim’s first priority will be helping the association with our return to hockey plan. The COVID-19 situation provides us a tremendous opportunity to get back to the basics of our sport and work on the fundamentals of play. The association will continue to update you regarding our return to hockey plans.

Please join me in welcoming Kim to her new role within the association.

Go Wildcats!
