Spring 4 on 4 Program
For House League and Competitive
The Toronto Leaside Wildcats organization is excited to announce the 3rd annual Spring 4 on 4 program for girls in May and June of 2017.
What is the 4 on 4 program?
- A fun, fast-paced, wide open hockey, with a focus on balanced teams
- Encourages young players to get used to carrying the puck up the ice and making plays
This is a great opportunity for our Tyke kids to keep on their skates and continue to sharpen their skills and grow their confidence in preparation for heading into our Novice house league and/or Development Stream/Rep play.
After a phenomenally fun season of 4 on 4 in the spring of 2016, the association is looking forward to putting together a bigger, better, faster, FUNNER league in 2017!
Fee will be $225 per player, (cost of jersey included in fee).
The age groups for the 2017 Spring 4 on 4 season will be based on a players 2017/2018 category.
As per last season, if registration numbers permit by age group (Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget), the association will consider running two separate divisions in an age group if it believes that will improve the balance of game play and thus player development. Spreading more game times into weekday evenings will also be considered if local arenas have availability.
The format will be the same as previous years, there will be 2 games per week over 6 weeks starting at the beginning of May. There will be no games during the May long weekend.
For those divisions that are waitlisting – it’s important interested players continue to add themselves to the waitlist. This allows the 4 on 4 committee to have a full picture and figure out which waitlisters can be accommodated.
